The Verein für Heimatgeschichte und Dorfkulter Lammersdorf e.v. opened the Bauernmueum in 1983. An old half-timbered house was furnished in exactly the same way as our ancestors did at the turn of the century. Over 3000 exhibits bear witness to the harmonious, but also arduous way of life of our Eifel ancestors. The museum gives visitors the impression that the inhabitants are not actually in the house. Nothing is closed off, nothing is hidden away in display cases or the like. Freshly restored large appliances and a herb garden round off the ambience.
