Many houses and plots of land in Eicherscheid have Low German names that are reminiscent of former residents or local circumstances. These names should not be forgotten, even if they are no longer so familiar to many people today. To ensure that knowledge about the names and their origins is preserved, the Eicherscheid local history working group organizes a meeting for anyone interested.
