As if on a journey through time, the town watchman guides his guests back to the past in his historical garb. Those who know Monschau will think of the castle and the era of the cloth makers, but the town watchman also finds his stories in the narrow alleyways and listed houses. He will tell you why the teacher sat in the town hall tower and which house belonged to the "false count". Who knows what medieval profession is hidden behind the expression "covering the cloak"? And perhaps the secret of the alleged Hallergeheimgang will be revealed along the way?
